Talks

From EESwiki

You need to go to at least three big talks (40 minutes or more, in a Hörsaal).

Have a look at the EES agenda for titles and dates.

1. Go and listen, but dont take notes.

2. After the talk let the organizer sign that you were there.

3. Go home. Have dinner.

4. Write done your memories:

  • How did you feel during the talk? How do you think the others in the audience felt?
  • What are your strongest memories of the event? This could be something funny that happened, the beautiful

slides that were shown or the bad coffee that you got.

  • What was the main question of the talk? What was the take home message? Write it down in a few sentences.
  • Were you convinced that the take home message is true? Were you convinced that the speaker is a professional?
  • Do you remember a particular slide/picture/story from the talk?
  • What was well done, what should be improved by the speaker?
