- Description: In this module, students prepare high quality scientific presentations and conduct scolary discussions on topics of the presentations.
- Goals: Students further improve their ability to communicate verbally about science.
Course P11.1: SD 3 Seminar "Hot Topics in Evolution, Ecology and Systematics"
- Contents:
The seminar is co-taught by three faculty members representing evolution, ecology, and systematics. Students read scientific publications on hotly debated issues in the three research areas. They prepare presentations of different formats on important scientific contributions. Students also lead and contribute to scolary discussions on the topics of the studies. The publications on hotly debated topics in ecology, evolution and systematics are chosen by the lectureres.
- Goals:
Students will have read and dispute a series of scientific studies on hotly debated topics in ecology, evolution and systematics. They will further improve their experience with presentations in different formats, asking critical questions about papers, participating in and leading of discussions.

Lehrveranstaltung P11.1: SD 3 Seminar Hot topics
- Inhalte:
Das Seminar wird gemeinsam von drei repräsentativen Fakultätsmitglieder aus den Bereichen der Evolution, Ökologie und Systematik gelehrt. Die Studierenden lesen Artikel und bereiten verschiedene Präsentationen aus diesen Artikeln vor. Sie führen Diskussionen und nehmen an Diskussionen zu den Themen der Artikel teil. Die Artikel sind über hitzig geführte Themen in der Ökologie, der Evolution und der Systematik und werden von dem Modulkoordinator ausgewählt.
- Lernziele:
Die Studierenden werden einige Artikel über hitzig geführte Themen in der Ökologie, Evolution und Systematik gelesen haben. Sie werden einige Erfahrungen gesammelt haben durch die gegebenen Präsentationen, durch das stellen kritischer Fragen über die gelesenen Artikel, sowie durch das Teilnehmen und Führen von Diskussionen.
