Rules 2008

Again this year the EES program will give prizes for the best Diploma and PhD theses in the fields of evolution, ecology and systematics. You can participate if you have successfully defended your thesis between the 1st of August 2007 and the 1st of September 2008. You should be a student at the LMU.

Application

Your application should consist of 1. a summary of your thesis, a CV and a publication list, all accessible on the Web. As an application, you should just send us an e-mail with a link; 2. your thesis (preferably as pdf, in the same e-mail); 3. a letter of recommendation from your supervisor (also by e-mail); 4. a note about whether or not you will be able to give a talk on the 5th of October in Munich.

Deadline

The deadline for applications is the 1st of September 2008. You can win 1500 euros (for the 2 best PhD theses) or 1000 euros (for the 2 best Diploma theses). Winners are expected to present their work in an oral presentation at the EES conference on the 2nd of October 2008.

Small print

The Committee has the right not to select a winner. Links to the summaries and CVs will appear on the EES website.
